HEAVEN #3253 What Made the Great Ones Great, October 21, 2009
God said:
You
have priorities. You have many priorities at work, at school, at home.
What is the greatest priority of all? Through all circumstances, what
is the Greatest Story of All?
It is love, beloveds, and you are it.
Your priority above all is to have awareness of love.
When you have bread baking in the oven, in the back of your mind,
you have awareness that you have bread baking in the oven. Have
awareness that you are a vessel of love. You have a heart of love, and
love itself is the yeast that makes love rise.
The priority to love does not have to be in the forefront of your
mind, even though it is your highest priority. We could say that love
is the chair you sit in. That’s all. You do not have to be thinking
every moment: “I am love. I am here to love. Love is what I am here
for.” Think it sometimes, and then like a wish you make, let go of
thoughts of love so that you allow love to birth itself.
Forced love is not love. Keeping a stiff upper lip is not love. Love
is love. To have awareness of love is enough. It is masterful.
You are a creature of love here on Earth born to love. Even when
life presents itself to you in an unfavorable way, still you are to
love.
What made the Great Ones great? They loved. If you were before them,
they would love you. They would love you. They wouldn’t know anything
else to do but to love you. They wouldn’t think about it. They would
not ask themselves, “Do I love this one before me?” It was not a
question to ask, and It was not a decision to make.
They did not say to themselves, “I will love this one before me no
matter what.” They simply loved the one before them. To the Great Ones,
there was no concept of “no matter what.” They could do nothing else
but love. They didn’t want to do anything else but love. Long before,
they had accepted that they were love, and they didn’t look for cause
to love or cause not to love.
We could say that they had long legs, and so they could cross land
and sea in a few strides. They already strode in Heaven. In the same
way, because their eyes were wide, they could see broadly. They did not
trip over imperfection. They strode over it, and saw you as you are.
They saw Me in you. The human form didn’t matter. It was I Who
mattered.
It is not that they overlooked. They didn’t say, “Tut-tut,” to
themselves and then turn themselves into love. They had left behind all
the tut-tuts in the world, and all that remained was love. Love is not
unwise. It is very wise to love.
The love We speak of is not maudlin. It is not gushy. It does not
wear fancy clothes. The love We speak of is simply love. The Great Ones
loved on a grand scale because they saw as they saw.
When you sit in a tree, you are sitting in a tree. You can see
further than when you are sitting on the ground. You can see further
with a telescope than you can see with a microscope. A telescope helps
you to see far. The Great Ones had telescopic vision. Nevertheless, had
a Great One looked through a microscope, he would have seen with great
eyes of love. He would have blessed himself to see magnified miracles
of God before him.
We could say that the Great Ones were neither far-sighted nor
near-sighted. We could say that they were sighted. They saw. They saw
before them what they themselves were.
Know Who you are, and your sight will be better.
